About Tile Rite
Tile Rite is a tile and natural stone installation studio serving custom homes on California's Central Coast. We do one thing — set tile and stone at the highest level — and we've done it for over a decade.
Who We Are
Tile Rite is a licensed tile installation contractor (CA Contractor License #1048328) specializing in high-end custom homes on California's Central Coast. For over a decade we have installed natural stone, marble, porcelain, and handmade tile for homeowners, architects, and custom-home builders from San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles to the Santa Barbara coast.
We stay small on purpose. One dedicated crew per project, led by a master installer, means the person who plans your layout is the person who sets it. We would rather do fewer projects at an uncompromising standard than more projects at a market one.
What distinguishes our work is what happens before the tile: substrates flattened to specification, waterproofing flood-tested and documented, layouts drawn and approved on paper. The beauty of a finished surface is decided by the discipline underneath it.
How We Think
The material leads
Marble, zellige, and large-format porcelain each demand their own technique. We adapt the method to the material — never the other way around.
Preparation is the product
Anyone can make tile look good on day one. Flatness, waterproofing, and movement joints decide what it looks like in year twenty.
The site is someone's home
Protection, cleanliness, and daily communication aren't extras. They're what it means to work in a custom home.
Credentials
Luxury is in the details, but trust is in the paperwork.
